We offer a very generous 24 hour in advance cancellation policy. Anything under 24 hours is nonrefudable for any reason as we are not able to sell the space under 24 hours. We do not cancel our tours due to weather. In Alaska we say we are not changing our plans just maybe our clothes. Come in layers, feel free to bring gloves, a bandana or mask if it is hot and dusty, or anything you might like to have with you for your comfort.

Job Title: Resort Desk Clerk
Black Diamond Resort Co, located at One Mile Otto Lake Road in Healy, Alaska 99743 (907) 683-4653, is recruiting for eight (8) temporary, full time, seasonal Resort Desk Clerks to work from April 1st, 2025 to September 30th, 2025. Work will be performed at Black Diamond Resort Co in Healy, Alaska. Duties: Book and register reservations over the phone, in person, and online. Greet guests, take payments, answer questions, clean all guest areas, assist in customer service and guest satisfaction. Help in resort activity duties where guests are present. Employer will provide on the job training. The employer will provide workers at no charge all tools, supplies, and equipment required to perform the job. No experience is required and there are no minimum education requirements. Work hours will be scheduled at 40 hours per week from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm; 5 days per week with two days off. Workers will be paid no less than $16.72 per hour. Overtime is $25.08 per hour (paid at time and a half). Employer will use a single workweek as its standard for computing wages due. Workers will be paid on Friday (biweekly) by check. The employer will make all deductions from the workers’ paycheck required by law. If the worker completes 50% of the work contract period, the employer will reimburse the worker for transportation and subsistence from the place of recruitment to the place of work. Upon completion of the work contract or where the worker is dismissed earlier, the employer will provide or pay for the worker’s reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer or where the employer has appropriately reported a worker’s voluntary abandonment of employment. The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economical and reasonable common carrier for the distances involved. Daily meals will be provided at a rate of at least $15.88 per day during travel to a maximum of $59 per day with receipts. Workers will be reimbursed in the first workweek for all visa, visa processing, border crossing and other related fees, including those mandated by the government (except passport fees). The employer guarantees to offer work for hours equal to at least ¾ of the workdays in each 12-week period of the total employment period. Dormitory style on-site shared lodging is available in employer owned housing at a rate of $105 per week. Employer offers lodging in shared dormitory on-site housing and will deduct $105 per week from the employee paycheck for these expenses for employees who choose them.
